Do you know that plastic window profiles are divided into groups A, B and C? This fragmentation is defined by the norm ÈSN EN 12608. The backing thickness of the class "A" profiles is 3 mm; the class "B" profiles have 2,5 mm and class "C" has only 2,3 mm. The decrease in thickness causes decline in mechanical properties of the window and decline in working life of the window.
The measurements show the differences in class "B" profiles
- Decrease in strength of corner joints.
- Lower strength of spiral joints.
- Higher thermal dependence
- Time-consuming processing of slim-wall profiles.
